Debuting in 2015, SEVENTEEN are certainly not new to the K-pop industry, meaning they have an extensive discography created primarily by producer and member WOOZI. With all the members having a huge input in writing lyrics and composing tracks, SEVENTEEN’s music exudes personality. Don’t know where to start your Carat journey? Look no further than our comprehensive list of SEVENTEEN’s best b-side tracks.

Fast Pace

Up until their more recent releases, SEVENTEEN’s title tracks were frequently upbeat and pop-heavy tunes that anyone could enjoy. However, from their third mini album, “Fast Pace” offers a more sultry side of the group. The jazzy, funky instrumental and thick drum beat backing to the group’s sweet vocals and low toned raps makes “Fast Pace” a soothing listen. Its choreography is also worth watching!

Rocket

SEVENTEEN’s American line, Joshua and Vernon, provide fans with the perfect uplifting track to dance to. Whilst at first it may seem like a strange pairing considering the duo’s differences sonically, Joshua’s honey-like vocals when mixed with Vernon’s rap verses work wonderfully together. “Rocket” is an easy listen that anyone can enjoy!

Swimming Fool

This track from the performance team is full of Dino, Hoshi, Jun, and The8’s signature charm. The song’s continuous whistling effect will be going around your head for hours after listening to it just once. The instrumental chorus is perfectly set up by a catchy pre-chorus and allows for the quartet to show off their dance skills.

Same dream, same mind, same night

This vocal team track is reminiscent of ‘90s RnB à la Boyz II Men. The harmonies and melodic synths make “Same dream, same mind, same night” a flawless love song. The different vocal colours of DK, Seungkwan, WOOZI, Joshua, and Jeonghan allow each member to shine individually as well as together. Of course, no vocal team song is complete without stunning high notes from DK and Seungkwan.

Healing

This track is exactly how it sounds! Its sweet melody and even sweeter lyrics make “Healing” a relaxing listen. When you need some extra energy or a pick-me-up, there is nothing better than getting a pep talk from SEVENTEEN themselves. Let the boys guide you through difficult times with their music and upbeat personalities.

GAM3 BO1

On the other end of the musical spectrum is the hip hop team’s “GAM3 BO1”. Any fans of hyperpop will absolutely love the over-the-top and, at times, overwhelming nature of this track. The exaggerated use of autotune and synth effects makes “GAM3 BO1” a standout in SEVENTEEN’s already diverse discography.

Do Re Mi

For their Semicolon special album, SEVENTEEN took a different approach to their B-sides. Instead of their usual unit tracks, SEVENTEEN made four songs based on their age lines. The three youngest members (or maknae line) created the peppy track “Do Re Mi”. With each member being from a different unit, the maknaes make up a perfectly well rounded team. The uplifting lyrics are able to improve anyone’s day.

Crush

“Crush” is a powerful track from Attacca with an even more powerful choreography to match. The RnB backing track and deep bassline provide SEVENTEEN with the perfect sound to create a seductive confession song. Mingyu’s deep rap is a standout throughout the bridge and of course, is supported by DK’s high notes.

These tracks are the best way to slip into the diamond life and become a full time Carat! Did we miss out any of your favourite SEVENTEEN B-sides? Let us know in the comments below.
