K-pop spring playlist

The season of new beginnings, these songs will get you in the perfect mood for spring!

1.“Bam Yang Gang” — BIBI

BIBI’s light and breathy vocals on this track soothe the soul. A song about wanting a genuine, simple love, “Bam Yang Gang” is sweet like the dessert it’s named after. It’s a fresh concept for BIBI after her hit bad girl anthem “Vengeance”, and demonstrates her versatility as an artist.

2.“The View” — Stray Kids

Comforting and refreshing like a light spring breeze, Stray Kids’ “The View” toes the line between spring and summer. Its nostalgic optimism reminds us to leave hard times in the past and look forward to what we have now and the warmth ahead of us.

3.“Some” — BOL4

If you like listening to sweet vocals and bright melodies, then this song is exactly what you’re looking for. BOL4 captured spring in a bottle when they released this song back in 2017 and it’s become a classic anthem for the season. 

4.“Rose” — D.O.

The title track of EXO member D.O.’s debut solo album, “Rose” is a carefree and cheerful song. The acoustic guitar coupled with D.O.’s comforting and skilled vocal performance are a match made in heaven in this sweet and catchy song. 

5.“Me Gustas Tu” — GFRIEND

One of the most iconic songs in K-pop, “Me Gustas Tu” remains a favourite for many K-pop fans to this day. The combination of youthful vocals, a synth-pop instrumental, and a fun choreography solidify this song as one which defines the ‘fresh’ girl group concept.

6.“DARARI” — TREASURE

“DARARI”’s relaxed hip-hop vibes and catchy chorus meant it became a viral hit on social media. Partly written by former TREASURE member Bang Ye-dam, the song shows off the members’ sweet vocals and cool but laid-back stage presence. 

7.“Blueming” — IU

IU is the queen of light and honey-sweet tracks and “Blueming” is one of her best. Incorporating pop-rock elements to her sound, IU delivers a charming song with a retro feel and a groovy beat. It’s the perfect song to chase the rainy days away.

8.“Hide & Seek” — ASTRO

ASTRO’s debut song is a complete breath of fresh air and brings a boppy vibe to this playlist. “Hide & Seek” is a really catchy song which highlights the lively and peppy vibe of spring and new beginnings. 

9.“Lalalilala” — APRIL

“Lalalilala” is APRIL’s highest-charting song and it’s easy to see why. The disco-inspired track adds an EDM twist to the spring season. It’s clean and fresh and a great song to dance along to in the warmer spring evenings.

10.“Bloom Bloom” — The Boyz

Another bouncy entry on this playlist, “Bloom Bloom”’s breezy melody and electro-house beat are super catchy. You can’t help but smile while listening to this song. The members do really well with a vibrant concept like this and it shines through with the dynamic choreography.

11.“Windy Day” — OH MY GIRL

OH MY GIRL’s “Windy Day” is a unique track that blends lots of different elements which are a perfect fit for the unpredictable weather of spring. Fun vocal harmonies and the distinctive melody of the chorus make this a very unforgettable song.

12.“Pretty U” — SEVENTEEN

Not many groups are as versatile genre-wise as SEVENTEEN, and “Pretty U” demonstrates how well they can pull off a bright and fresh concept. The song brings a youthful and sweet vibe like a spring picnic.
